Michael Taylor’s stance on Nevada County permitting and code compliance:
- Michael is working hard to ensure that the Code Compliance Division respects you and your property rights. He wants to make sure that you can trust the County and plans to bring fair and just oversight to the Code Compliance Division.
Michael Taylor’s stance on commercial:
- Cannabis should be treated like any other agricultural crop. It’s time to say goodbye to the overly strict and cumbersome permitting process that the County has in place for farmers today.
Michael Taylor’s stance on medical:
- Did you know that farmers in Nevada County are able to cultivate up to 2500 sq. feet of cannabis for medical purposes with only county permits under the existing non-remuneration program? Forest Lee Hurd, contributor to this ordinance, will be explaining this further and answering any questions you may have. This is a unique opportunity that’s currently being underutilized. Michael is proposing we re-prioritize medical cultivation; it’s been put on the backburner for too long.
Michael Taylor’s stance on recreational:
- Do you live within City limits? Are you unable to grow your six recreational plants? Michael is proposing we allow cooperative cannabis cultivation in rural Nevada County. Michael intends to work on policy that will modify the non-remuneration program and make it possible for providers, medical patients and recreational users to grow their own cannabis. He supports craft and cooperative cannabis cultivation in rural Nevada County.
